Dear Freedom Crusaders:

I am happy to announce the merger of the New Liberty Caucus into the Libertarian Freedom Council, effective immediately.

The New Liberty Caucus purposes were described as follows:

"The New Liberty Caucus is a group dedicated to effecting change within the Libertarian Party. We seek a "big-tent", pluralist, political Libertarian Party, founded not on anarcho-capitalism or natural rights theory (of course, however, welcoming anarcho-capitalists and natural-rights theorists!), but instead on the shared political goal of expanded liberty and small government. We will be talking about Libertarian reforms that answer our detractors' concerns, and coming up with libertarian *political* ideas, but we are not about one-principle deductionist libertarianism and will be keeping philosophical speculation to a minimum."

Pursuant to the terms of the merger negotiated with Ben Kalafut, all New Liberty Caucus members will be given an invitation to join our LFC Yahoo Group and will be given the opportunity to apply for Associate Membership status in the Libertarian Freedom Council.

Ben Kalafut, the Founder of the New Liberty Caucus, and an Associate Member of the LFC from the state of Arizona, will, effective immediately, be appointed to serve as a voting Foundation Member in the capacity of an LFC Regional Coordinator for Region 9 covering the states of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California and Hawaii.

The merger of our two organizations will enable us to better achieve our common goals to make the LP a more viable political entity.
