Hello all. I'm Donny Ferguson, Region 3 Coordinator (Virginia, Maryland, Delaware & North Carolina.)

I currently live in Falls Church, Virginia and work as Staff Aide to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, where I fight to abolish government programs and slash taxes. In the other 20 hours of the week I work as a fundraising and political consultant to various campaigns and 501(c)3s and (c)4s. Depending on how talks go, I may be taking on a new job/position/employer in the coming weeks which may give me much more free time and more freedom to work with the LP.

I've also been a Republican congressional campaign manager, tour fundraiser, TV and radio producer for Judicial Watch (the guys who sued Dick Cheney) and newspaper columnist. I attended Texas A&M for three years before leaving and taking a job running a Houston-area congressional campaign.

Born and raised in Southeast Texas where I raised chickens (Jumbo X Cornish Rocks) and was planning on becoming a poultry producer before getting routed into poltics.

I left the GOP in 2000 when Governor Bush entered the presidential race, and formally joined the LP in January 2001. I now serve as the Financial Development and Editorial Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Virgina, and its Campaign and Communications Committees.

With the GOP abandoning any semblance of small government, and Democrats abandoning advocacy of civil rights, I see a strong opening for the LP. I have long been an advocate of focusing our attention on winning local office, seeing as they are not only easier to win, but a source of greater taxation and oppression than the federal government.
