Ronald S. Ramo
Vice President & Webmaster
(New York)

I am a life long resident of South Ozone Park, NY, home of Aqueduct Raceway and JFK Airport. This past May I received my Law Degree from Touro Law School, located in Central Islip, NY. I also have a Bachelors' Degree in the Arts of American History and Economics from SUNY Albany.

Though I have been active in libertarian politics only for little over a year, I have been an advocate of libertarian ideology since 2003. Prior to that time, I was a staunch Republican supporter who believed that when the Republican Party controlled Congress and the Presidency there would be a major reduction in the size of the Federal Government and a commensurate return of responsibility to the States, localities and the public at large. But all those hopes were dashed as I realized much of what the Republican Party said was mere rhetoric and any real effort to alter the course of American government would have to come from different perspectives, one beyond Republican and Democrat. After graduating from SUNY Albany and surviving my first year of law school, I decided I wanted to get active in politics and made it my business to visit and join my local chapter of the Libertarian Party, the Libertarian Party of Queens County (LPQC). It was at this point I met Dr. Tom Stevens, who struck me as a man of professionalism, vision and experience. As I became more involved in the LPQC, I became a closer friend of Tom, who gave invaluable me advise on building my political resume. First, I became the interm Treasurer of the LPQC, a position to which I was elected on January 13, 2007. Later that month, I won the office of Director of Media Relations in the Manhattan Libertarian Party. About the same time, Tom decided to appoint me to the position of Executive Assistant of the Libertarian Freedom Council (LFC), which was really such a great honor because I was made a leading member of a group that had as a goal the spreading of libertarian ideology nationally and internationally. Subsequently, Tom called upon me to have the distinct honor of being a founding member of the Boston Tea Party of New York and its first Co-Vice President. I was then asked to become the National Youth Coordinator for the Alden Link campaign for the Libertarian Presidential Nomination. Most recently, I have ascended to the rank of Vice President and Webmaster of the LFC, and am currently trying my best to serve in those capacities.

I hope that, together, we can all make contributions to liberty that will be remembered for generations to come. Today the future is ours to lose.
