Trevor McNeal Southerland was born on 28 May in the year of our Lord 1985 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Comprehensive High School in Catoosa County, Georgia where he graduated with dual honors. He currently attends the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a Political Science major. He is a member in good standing of the Anglican Communion, the Episcopal Church USA and the American Anglican Council. He attends St. Paul's Parish in Chattanooga, TN where he serves as a Chalice Bearer, Lector and Assistant Acolyte Master. Trevor became active in libertarianism as a very young person handing out copies of the Bill of Rights at downtown rallies. At the age of 14, he joined the Libertarian Party and founded the Libertarian Party of Catoosa County, which he chaired for three years. Trevor served one year on the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Georgia as the Director of Affiliate Development. During the last year of residing in Tennessee, Trevor has served as Secretary of his county party and is now the Chair of the Hamilton County Libertarian Party (www.hclp.org) and he has worked to revive the Campus Libertarians at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He served as the Editor for the Voice of Freedom, Tennessee's official Libertarian newsletter (www.lptn.org). Trevor serves as the Tennessee Coordinator for the Badnarik for President Campaign as well as helping to support several local candidates in his own area and others. In 2004, he served as the Secretary of the Platform Committee at the Party's Convention. At the same convention he became the Chairman and a founding member of the National Libertarian Party Youth Caucus and fell 19 votes short in a bid for an At-Large spot on the Libertarian National Committee. "I hope I can do all I can to help promote the Libertarian Party. Everyday I put a lot of time and effort into party activities, and if there were more hours in a day I'd do even more.
